Anayin amfani da Future tense ne domin nuna Aikin da bai riga ya faru ba, amma ana sa ran faruwarsa nan gaba.

Misali

I shall go to school – Zanje makaranta

We shall eat food now – Zamu ci abinci yanzu

Tijjani will drive a car – Tijjani zai tuka mota

He will write a letter – Zai rubuta wasika

She will come tomorrow – Zata zo gobe

1. To give or ask for information about the future

Za’a iya yin amfani da Future tense a cikin lamurra kamar haka: Domin bayar da bayani ko neman Karin bayani akan abinda zai faru nan gaba. Misali:

I was told that you will be in Zaria tomorrow; how long will the journey take? – An gaya mini cewa zaka kasance a Zariya gobe; Tsawon wani lokaci zaka dauka kana tafiya?

2. Future tense can be used to talk concerning what we think are likely to happen in the future, but which aren’t completely certain.

Za’a iya yin amfani da Future tense domin tattaunawa akan abinda zai faru nan gaba, amma wanda ba’a riga an gama tabbatarwa ba. Misali

You will never lose height, provided you like food too much – Bazaka iya rage kiba ba, muddin dai kanason abinci sosai.

3. Future tense can be used to refer to conditional situations, things that will happen if something else occurs

4. Future tense can be used to make promises, threats or to state decisions

I will meet you there – Zan sameka a can

Are you doing into market? I will give you a lift – Shin kasuwa zaka shiga? Zan rage maka hanya.

I will never visit you again – Bazan sake ziyartar ka na

Shall Vs Will

Traditionally “Shall” is used with first person pronoun (ie “i” and “we”) to form the future tense, But “will” is used with second and third person forms (ie you, he, she, it, they)

A bisa ka’ida ana amfani da “Shall” ne tare da first person pronouns (wato “i” da kuma “we”) domin samar da Future tense. Asa ilin da kuma ake amfani da “will” tare da second person ko third person (wato you, he, she, it, they). Misali:

I shall go to school – Zanje makaranta

They will never go to school – Baza suje makaranta ba

But if you are expression a strong determination to do something, the roles are reversed

Amma idan kana da wani kudiri mai karfi ne na yin wani abu, to anan anayin amfani da “Shall” ne tare da “Second person” ko “third person” sannan kuma za’ayi amfani da “will” tare da “first person” Misali:

I will not tolerate criticism – Bazan Iya jurewa zagi ba.

You shall go to school – Zakaje makaranta.
